Q: Why have a public viewing?
A: Viewing is part of many cultural and ethnic traditions. Many grief specialists believe that viewing aids the grief process by helping the bereaved recognize the reality of death. Viewing is encouraged for children, as long as the process is explained and the activity voluntary.
Q: Is cremation a substitute for a funeral?
A: No, cremation is an alternative to earth burial or entombment for the body's final disposition and often follows a traditional funeral service.
Q: So, I've decided on cremation. Can I still have a funeral or a viewing?
A: Yes, quite often some sort of viewing precedes the actual cremation. We can assist you with the necessary information for a funeral with a cremation following or a memorial service.
Q: Can I pre-plan my funeral arrangements?
A: Many people are entering into pre-need agreements to purchase funeral and burial goods prior to death. Although many people would prefer not to think about the end of their lives, planning for the inevitable event increases chances that your wishes will be met.
Q: What is Soulprints?
A: Soulprints is an aftercare program committed to continue to provide comfort and care to family and friends following the death of someone loved. Our goal is to extend this care by companioning people mourning the loss of a loved one and to educate the community about the process of grief. It is our responsibility to share our knowledge, so that no one has to suffer through this journey alone, or go through the confusion and grief without someone there to help them after the funeral service. The services that we provide are multi-dimensional and customized to fit your needs.
