Whitesel Music

Whitesel Music first opened its doors in 1948 as a Church Organ and Victrola Record Player Store. Norman Whitesel offered lessons and all the teaching material to go along with it. Mr. Whitesel also had a library of sacred and classical records for sale. He then expanded to offer band instrument rentals and sales. The original store's location was in Gaithersburg, MD. He later moved the store to Harrisonburg, VA, the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. You could find anything from a 9' Grand Piano to a Kazoo at Whitesel Music.

In the 70's, Mr. Whitesel partnered with Carroll Motsinger, an ordained minister and businessman. Their goal was to serve the church communities music worship needs.

Today, Mr. Motsinger's grandson, Joshua Dove, owns and operates Whitesel Music. He resides in Harrisonburg, VA and consults with customers in the comfort of their own churches or at the showroom in Harrisonburg, VA. Joshua has expanded the service area covering the entire United States.

Whitesel Music is dedicated to the sales and service of digital and pipe organs, digital and acoustic pianos, audio/video systems, orchestral instruments, and sheet music.  If you live locally, you can also choose Whitesel Music for in store music lessons through the Norman A. Whitesel Music Academy.
