About Us

The SoKY Marketplace is downtown Bowling Green's Farmer's Market. It provides a place for farmers, craftsmen, and artisans to market their produce to the community. It helps the local economy and is part of the effort to revitalize downtown Bowling Green. In addition it provides and promotes fresh food and healthy living.  It is also our mission to help local charities. We also have many hand's on fun and educational programs for children.

SoKY Marketplace FAQ

When is the market open?
Every Saturday and Tuesday, April through October from 8 am to 1 pm.

Who are the vendors?
Each vendor is a Kentucky producer. The products that are being sold is either grown or produce by the merchant who is selling. You are buying from the person who produced the product. They can answer questions you have about what is being sold.

Besides fruits and vegetables what else can I expect to find.
Baked Goods, Pies, Tarts, Homemade doughnuts, Homemade ice cream, frozen treats, Fresh roasted, ground coffee, olive and balsamic oils, honey, maple syrup, Lotions, Homemade soaps, essential oils, crafts, art, pet treats and more.

Are the same vendors there every week?
Not necessarily. Some Vendors come every week and others only come during their season. For example, We have producers who are only there during the strawberry season. Or some that are only there until their product (like Honey) runs out.

Does the SoKY Marketplace accept SNAP, WIC, or Seniors?
Yes we accept SNAP, WIC and Senior Farmer's Market Vouchers.

The SoKY Marketplace provides a welcoming venue for visitors and locals alike to shop directly from Kentucky farmers and artisans in the city’s historic downtown. This fun-filled festive experience is offered April through October under the newly constructed SoKY Marketplace Pavilion located behind SKYPAC and across the street from the Hot Rods ballpark. It is our pleasure to treat shoppers to a bounty of fresh, locally grown produce, handmade crafts, sweet savory treats along with meats and cheeses from Kentucky’s lush pastures.
