A: Your local health department offers a range of programs for expectant mothers such as: WIC (supplemental food program for Women, Infants and Children), HANDS (a program to help new parents for the first two years of the child's life), nutrition counseling, dental check-ups, and many more services as well.

A: Many services for expectant mothers are also available tor new mothers such as, WIC and HANDS. We also provide breastfeeding support, vaccinations, well child check-ups and additional services to qualified people.

A: The health department has a variety of programs that benefit the whole community. We have branches that work with environmental health, community health and clinical health. In fact, we have so many programs, you should visit our website to learn more.
Q: When is the health department open?
A: The health department is open 8:00 - 4:30, Monday thru Friday. We have recently began scheduling evening appointments for people who work during the day. Health inspectors are in the office from 8:00 - 9:30 am or by appointment.
