Q: I want to scrapbook. Where do I begin to not feel overwhelmed?
A: Most of us want to save our photos and to scrapbook them would be fun. Scrapbook village offers a "Where do I begin" class. It takes about an hour and all you need is your photos. We take care of the rest. We will help you with colors, tools needed, the right adhesive, and lots of other things. You'll make your first page with our help, and you'll be off and scrapbooking right away.
Q: It looks hard and complicated. Is it?
A: No. There are tricks we teach you to get it done quickly and looking good. Some styles and techniques are complicated for the advanced scrapbookers but it is a choice, and we teach you how.
Q: I've heard it is expensive to scrapbook. Is it?
A: It can be. At Scrapbook Village, that is part of our "Where do I begin Class". We go show you what you NEED versus what you WANT. For under $25.00 you can get started with the materials, and tools you need. We show you how to cut corners and create a wonderful album on a budget. That is important to all of us in today's economy. You'll be surprised how inexpensive you can do this.
Q: I am so busy with work, my home, kids and going here and there, where would I find the time? I am already stressed.
A: We will show you how to organize, save time and quick ways to scrapbook your photos. We suggest you write in your calendar 1 day or evening a month to scrapbook. We find the time for the things we want so if you are serious we can help you see where you can give the time for this hobby of preserving your family history. Speaking of STRESS... it is proven that a hobby is a stress release. When we are scrapbooking we are creating pages for the people we love and places we've been. We remember and we forget the worries of the day. Sometimes the only time we scrapbook is with friends. We call it "cropping" together. We feel refreshed and ready to tackle everyday things following a fun crop time.
Q: What is a crop?
A: It is a scrapbook party! Sometimes we gather at each others home and other times at Scrapbook Village or conventions. There are scheduled crops every month at Scrapbook Village and sometimes that is the only time the gals scrapbook, getting caught up on their albums. Sometimes there are "THEME" crops. One might be a FIESTA. We have a catered meal from a Mexican Restaurant, take photos, play games, door prizes, Pinata and you scrapbook and have fun all day. Sometimes we have a RETREAT, where we scrapbook for 4 days. Sometimes we scrap until midnight at Scrapbook Village.
