I don't know about you, but it's one of my biggest pet peeves. Do everyone a favor and take a sick day if you're feeling under the weather.
I hate when people come to work completely hacking up a lung because, inevitably, that means they infect everyone else - including me.
New research finds that 26 percent of employees admitted they go into work sick. When asked why, 42 percent said they feared missing deadlines or were afraid they'd have too much work to make up when they got back if they took a sick day.
Thirty-seven percent said they couldn't afford to miss a day's pay, and 25 percent said their boss expected them to work sick.
Still, 98 percent of those surveyed admitted they judged fellow co-workers who come in sick.
