GLOBE Charter School FAQ

Q: What is a charter school?
A: A charter school is run by their own Board of Directors who are involved with the vision/mission of the school. The school chooses their own curriculum and how to implement that curriculum while following the state standards. We have community involvement which allows the students to learn how to give back to their community.
Q: How do we enroll our children?
A: We have an open-enrollment for any student in grades K-6. We have an open door policy where interested parents can come and tour our building and classrooms to see for themselves how we educate our students for life.
Q: What is the class size?
A: We believe in having small class sizes which allows teachers to help EVERY student on their level and seek higher academic achievement.
Q: What specials are offered?
A: Currently, we offer music, technology, and PE. All of our teachers incorporate art into their classroom but hope to grow our specials to include an art teacher and a foreign language teacher.
Q: How do you give back to the community?
A: Each grade level does on Service Learning Project each year. Those projects are devoted to giving back to the community in one way or the other. Sixth grade gives back by visiting a retirement home, fifth grade is fund-raising to build a well in Africa, third and fourth raised money for Care and Share, while kindergarten will be looking at doing a feed the hungry campaign.
