About Us

Catholic Charities of Central Colorado, Inc. is the social service arm of the Diocese of Colorado Springs. It was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) human service organization in 1968. It is currently one of 1,640 Catholic Charities USA social service agencies in the United States. Catholic Charities provides social services throughout a 10-county area with most of the services targeted to people living in Colorado Springs and El Paso County. The agency is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and provides services to people of all races, backgrounds and beliefs.

Catholic Charities provides help and creates hope for people who are poor and vulnerable in our area through the efforts of a wide range of programs and services.

Q: What is Catholic Charities of Central Colorado
Catholic Charities of Central Colorado, a local non-profit agency, serves all people, regardless of race or religion, who come to us to help answer needs and improve lives. Catholic Charities of Central Colorado was founded in 1968 to provide compassionate, competent and professional services that strengthen and support individuals, families and communities based on the value and dignity of human life.

Q: What services do you offer?
We provide emergency services for economically disadvantaged families and individuals. Specifically:

basic living items for infants, children and mothers
a soup kitchen and services for people who are low income or homeless
poverty reduction services
assistance for those transitioning to self-sufficiency
adoption services
unplanned pregnancy counseling and support
post abortion support
English As a Second Language classes for immigrants
Social Services Advocacy.

Q: Where are you located?
Our main office, which houses Life Connections, Family Immigration Services, and administration, is at 228 N. Cascade Ave. Our phone number is 636-2345.

The Marian House Soup Kitchen and Hanifen Center at Marian House, which houses the poverty reductions services – Marian House Community Outreach, Marian House Life Support Services, and Marian House Client Services as well as numerous partner agencies, is located at 14 W. Bijou St.

Q: Do I have to be Catholic to use your services?
No. Our services are open to anyone who is in need of our assistance and many of our services are free of charge to clients.
