Think Outside the Tie: Unique Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Ties are great, but not all dads get excited about the prospect of getting yet another one for Father’s Day. So what can you do to show the dad in your life he’s special on his special day?

  1. Toys & Trinkets – The dads in our lives are sometimes gigantic children…in a good way. Chances are, he’s a fan of some movie or TV show that has its own line of merchandise. Consider a figurine of his favorite character or vehicle for his desk at work.

  2. Tech – Whether the dad you’re buying for seems to have it all in the gadget department or isn’t very tech savvy, there’s probably still an item out there that he’d love to have. Think about upgrading, such as getting a Blu Ray player to replace his DVD player, or simplifying, such as a universal remote control.

  3. TV & Movies – Give Dad something to do on his day off that doesn’t involve getting out of his favorite chair. He can marathon his favorite movie trilogy or a season of his favorite TV show.

  4. Tools – Not all tools are meant for the tool box. Tools can be anything from a car maintenance kit to a nice set of barbecue utensils.

Repurposed Coin Guitar Picks

Ballpark Blueprints
“Take Me Out to the Ball Game” was the first song my husband taught our son, likely because it reminded him of playing catch with his own dad and many an afternoon spent cheering on his favorite baseball team within its iconic stadium. He, like so many baseball fan dads, would love one of these ballpark blueprints to remind him of the “good old days” spent munching on peanuts and Cracker Jacks and enjoying the game on a hot summer afternoon. These vintage-inspired architectural plans include the stadium’s design specs and historically-significant game statistics and highlights, are printed on museum-grade, archival paper, and come framed in black, poplar wood.
Available from Uncommon Goods for $185.00
