Protect Your Baby Monitor by Securing Your Home's Wi-Fi

This article, entitled "Protect Your Baby Monitor by Securing Your Home's Wi-Fi," comes from Liz Hayes, MomsEveryday correspondent from Central Wisconsin.

What would you do if you heard something other than coos from your baby monitor?

One Texas couple in particular reported hearing a man's voice saying sexually explicit things to their daughter through their own baby monitor.

If your baby monitor relies on your home's wireless internet connection, you may be leaving yourself open to hackers and even predators.

Experts say it's imperative that families secure their wireless network with a strong password to protect themselves. The strongest passwords include letters, numbers and special characters. It's best to change the password regularly and always use a firewall and antivirus software.
