Teach Your Tot to Eat Their Veggies

This article, entitled "Teach Your Tot to Eat Their Veggies," comes from Liz Hayes, MomsEveryday correspondent from Central Wisconsin.

Toddlers can be notoriously fussy, especially when it comes to eating their vegetables. But parents shouldn't give up trying.

Researchers found that children can learn to eat new vegetables if they're introduced to them regularly before age two. It may take five to ten times before they finally learn to like them.

They also found that trying to mask the vegetables by sweetening them or adding other ingredients did not make a child more likely to eat their veggies.

Children under two are more likely than older children to try new foods, so introducing a variety of vegetables early and often is key.

Show your toddler that you love to eat your vegetables can boost your child's interest as well.
