While selling things online or in a yard sale is a great way to get rid of unwanted items and make a few bucks, there are certain items that are unsafe for re-sale. In today’s moms everyday minute, a reseller’s guide to ensure you’re only selling safe products.

Did you know that selling recalled products is against the law? Or that most cribs manufactured before june 2011 cannot be resold? Because of federal regulations, resllers should closely examine their products to make sure they’re safe and compliant with the law.

All infant and toddler products must be scrutinized. Nursery furniture and baby products that have broken, wobbly, or missing parts should not be resold. Other common baby items like bath seats, car seats, play yards and baby walkers have updated mandatory standards.

Visit for a list of recalls and safety standards and when in doubt, throw it out.
