As busy moms, it’s sometimes difficult to come up with exciting meals for breakfast – but as our kids gear up for back to school, this recipe may come in handy.
½ cup to 1 cup vanilla yogurt of choice (for added protein, use a Greek yogurt)
½ cup to 1 cup of whole grain cereal or granola of choice
4 popsicle sticks or silverware to insert in the bananas
add-in ideas: mini chocolate chips, coconut shreds, cinnamon sugar, raisins, etc.
Pour granola into a very shallow dish or plate. Peel bananas, cut in half, and insert popsicle sticks. Dip into yogurt (or coat with a knife), then roll into cereal/granola and add-ins, or stick the add-ins on by after rolling in the granola. Place on a parchment or wax-lined tray and freeze. Keep uneaten pops in the freezer.
