I would like to personally welcome you to MomsEveryday.com. Thank you for stopping by.

What can you expect by visiting here? Well, you can expect to find some great resources that make your life, as a mom, a little easier. You can expect to connect with other local moms who are trying to do their best, everyday, just like you and it’s my hope that when you visit MomsEveryday.com you can find something that will enlighten you, encourage you, or make you smile.

I grew up here in Western Colorado. I graduated from Fruita Monument, spent a couple of my college years at CMU (formerly Mesa State) and when I got the chance to bring my Southern California husband back to the Grand Junction, I did it! We love living here and taking advantage of the mild weather, recreational opportunities, and great schools.

Together, Secret Agent Man (as I lovingly call him) and I have three children: Twin boys who are thirteen, whom you will come to know as Boy One and Boy Two and my ten-year-old daughter, Mini Me.

I have only aspired to be a loving wife and doting mother, despite my utter lack of ambition, I’m a former Home and Garden columnist for The Daily Sentinel, a former radio DJ for Mix 104.3, and now I’m the new MOMSEVERYDAY “spokesmom” for KKCO NBC 11.

Now, I’m going to tell you why MomsEveryday.com is cool (in case you need to be convinced).

When I had three preschool-age kids at home all day, every day, I wish I had a resource to make decision-making easier when it came to the nuts and bolts part of having a home and family: home maintenance, repair, finances, health and medical, and all the other household things that can take our attention away from the people who need it the most, our kids.

I also wish I had a place to ask questions and compare notes with moms who lived near me. Going anywhere with my three kids was a challenge, even if it was just a trip to the park, ultimately I felt a little isolated. I wish there had been a local website like MomsEveryday.com when my kids were small.

Finally, one last pitch on why you should visit momseveryday.com/westerncolorado every day. Back to the nuts and bolts of home and family; today I visited with the good people of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, not only did they tell me a sweet story about how they were able to retrieve a widow’s wedding ring from the pipes after it had slipped down the shower drain (ask them about that the next time you talk to them) but, they told me that just calling someone out of the phone book is like playing Yellow Pages Russian Roulette. Why would you gamble your family’s time and money like that?

When you visit MomsEveryday.com you will be able to find businesses that have passed the mom test. I’ve talked them, I’ve asked them questions, I’ve found out why they are better than “the other guy.”

From one mom to another, my passion is for home and family. It’s my heart-felt desire to help you and your family be as happy and successful as possible. Making your life easier so you can spend more time with your family is a big part of that. No more closing your eyes and just making a guess. Here at MomsEveryday.com, we’ve got your back.

Just saw your TV segments. They are great! I will definitely follow you--not in a stalking type of way, of course.

This looks like a great site that even out-of-town moms can benefit from. I'll be back!
