The True Meaning of "Bullying"

Lately, we have heard a lot in the news about the increase in bullying in schools. However, it is important for us parents to truly understand the meaning of the word ‘bullying’ and how it is different from just normal, typical childhood conflicts.

Drew Brandenburg, School Counselor at Putnam Heights Elementary School, is here to tell us more about what bullying is and what it is NOT! He explains the definition of true bullying and how it is different than just a conflict that a child may be having with another child. He also talks about how conflict resolution can be a very good thing for kids and what it can teach them. And finally, he talks about how kids and parents should react to a bullying situation vs. a conflict situation.
