Keep Your Kids and Pets Safe from Prescription and Over-the-Counter Medications

Almost all of us have some kind of prescription drugs or medications somewhere inside our home. And some of you may even have some expired medications stashed somewhere and not even know it. If you are a parent, a grandparent or anyone else who could potentially have kids inside your home, then you need to listen up and understand how to best store and dispose of those medications.

Jody Myhre-Oechsle, an instructor in the Pharmacy Technician program at CVTC, gives us some safety tips for keeping our kids and even our pets safe when having prescription drugs in the house. She explalins the best way to STORE, USE, and DISPOSE OF our prescription drugs and medications. And heaven forbid, if our child still manages to get into our prescription medications, Jody tell us what we should do and who we should call.
