Hartman Arena FAQ
Q: What makes Hartman Arena different from other concert and entertainment venues?
A: Often referred to as “the perfect sized arena,” Hartman Arena is an ultra unique venue designed with the fan experience at the forefront. The arena bowl is configured so that every seat in the house is a great seat making it impossible for the fans to get stuck far from the action. It also boasts an open nightclub club feel where you can see the stage from almost anywhere in the building, even the concession stands. Add to that loads of free on-site parking, 2 VIP lounges and patios, easy access off of I-135, and some of the most entertaining concerts, sporting events, trade and family shows in the Midwest, and you have a truly exciting and accommodating fan experience! At Hartman Arena you don’t just watch a show, you experience it!
Q: What types of events have you hosted and what do you have coming up?
A: Hartman Arena has hosted a variety of events ranging from family shows like Thomas and Friends Live, Monster Trucks, and the PRCA Rodeo to giant concerts like Alan Jackson, Alice Cooper, Earth Wind and Fire/Chicago, Martina McBride, and New Kids On The Block. We are also host to two professional sports teams, The Wichita Wings Indoor Soccer Team and the Wichita Wild Indoor Football Team. 2011 will be the first year for the Wings at Hartman Arena and their season officially begins in November. Additional upcoming events include Miranda Cosgrove on August 12, The Script on September 16 and Boz Scaggs/Michael McDonald on October 6. More event announcements are coming soon so make sure to check www.hartmanarena.com often for updates!
Q: Where do I buy tickets for Hartman Arena events?
A: Hartman Arena has its own ticketing company - Stage1 Tickets. You can pick up tickets to any of our events at www.stage1tickets.com, all Stage1 ticket outlets (CD Tradepost and Checker’s south), at the Hartman Arena Box Office (open weekdays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) or by calling 316-927-3999. Check back to hartmanarena.com and stage1tickets.com for announcements on additional ticket locations, discounts, and special offers.
Q: Can I buy tickets to an event on the day of the show?
A: Often tickets are available the day of the show, but it’s never a good idea to plan on it. Once a show sells out or we’ve reached a certain capacity, then all sales will be cut off. Also, if they are available, tickets often increase in price the day of the show. Your best bet is always to buy in advance if you know you want to go to a show, and save yourself some trouble and expense.
Q: Do I have to buy my infant a ticket if I want to bring him/her to the show?
A: This varies by event so it’s best to call the arena at 316-744-8880 in order to confirm. For some shows children under 2 do not need a ticket, but others will specify that everyone who enters needs to have a ticket no matter the age. Just remember if they don’t have a ticket then they don’t have a seat and will need to sit on a lap throughout the show.
Q: How can I meet an artist at an event?
A: The best route to be able to participate in a meet and greet with an artist is to listen to your local radio stations for chances to win. The artists have a particular day of show schedule once they get into town and the time for fan meet and greets is often limited. Local radio and TV stations are frequently given an allotment of passes and tickets to giveaway on air. These usually happen at a specific time designated by the artist and can only be for a certain number of people. The arena does not control who meets the artist.
