Advanced Pain Medicine Associates FAQ
Q: I am experiencing persistent back pain, is it serious?
The question to ask is have you had any recent injuries that could have caused back trauma? Or did you just feel something after bending or twisting? Either way, if the pain last longer than a week, visit your primary care physician!
Q: What's the difference between acute and chronic pain?
Acute -Twisted and strained a muscle and the pain last longer than a week but eventually subsides. Chronic - Is where it lasts up to or longer than 3 - 6 months and can be associated with a recent trauma.
Q: My primary care physician tells me my pain is untreatable. What should I do?
As always, we suggest a second opinion from a primary care physician. A second opinion may provide insight and additional options for your pain.
