Q: What is fondant? What does it taste like? Is the consistency different than regular icing?
A: Fondant is a rolled type of icing which lays over buttercream. The consistency is chewy.
Q: How do you figure cost per serving?
A: Cost per serving is based on amount of time and how much product is used.
Q: How much experience do you have as a cake creator?
A: I began working as a cake creator in 1980.
Q: What is the most interesting cake you've designed?
A: Every week is something new. The "bridezilla" cake was my most popular ever. I've also made rotating cakes and cakes that light up.
Q: How far in advance do I need to order a cake?
A: The more elaborate the work, the more advance notice needed. Sheet cakes require only a couple of days notice.
