Q: I’m looking for an active after school program for my elementary schoolers. What do you offer?
A: basicREC!! Offered through all Frederick County Elementary Schools, basicREC is a recreation-based before and after school program designed to keep kids active, engaged, and just having fun! Registration is underway for the 2012-2013 school year. Get all the info you need by clicking here.
Q: Does Frederick County Parks and Rec offer online registration?
A: Yes! And it’s easy! Click on the online registration button and follow the onscreen directions. Once your household is set up, you can easily register for a multitude of programs all year long!
Q: Can you fish in the lakes in Clearbrook and Sherando Parks?
A: Yes, with the appropriate license.
Q: Does Frederick County Parks and Rec have fitness facilities?
A: We have currently have two fitness rooms at our Community Centers at Sherando High School and Greenwood Mill Elementary School. Hours and equipment vary, so please check our web site: www.fcprd.net
