We, as a community, believe it is essential to value and support our young people. We are committed to providing area youth with the opportunity for recreational and educational programs focused on their total development.

YDC At A Glance
Students. parents and community leaders provide direction on four YDC Governing Boards.
Our Gerald F. Smith Youth Activity Building and the Dave and Kathy Holliday Annex are available to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
The YDC provides the Youth Workforce Program to advise and counsel young adults on both educational and employment opportunities in Winchester, Frederick and Clarke Counties.
During an average week, over 500 young people and adults visit the YDC for open gym, a party, class, meeting, practice or special event.
Annually, over 600 people volunteer their time and services and make charitable donations to the YDC.
Annually, student and adult boards plan special events including Band Fests, First Night celebration, athletic tournaments, theme parties, programs for teens with disabilities, summer enrichment program and more!
YDC's SummerFest Program offers 106 enrichment classes in cooking, baking, arts and crafts, languages, videogaming, games, gymnastics, internet technology and more!
