Where can I get my flu vaccine?
Cabell-Huntington Health Department
703 7th Ave.

Who should get a flu vaccine
Anyone 6 months and older should have a flu vaccine annually.

Will the flu vaccine make me sick
Because your body is building antibodies to the vaccine you have received, you may feel achy or may even have a mild sore throat or fever. If you have severe aching or have a high fever, you have most likely been exposed to another virus prior to taking your flu shot.

How long does it take before my flu shot works and how long do they last.
It takes about 2 weeks for your body to build immunity to the vaccine you have received. The vaccine should be good for the entire flu season, but immunities will begin to weaken about 6 months after receiving the vaccine.
