Capital City Give Kids A Smile FAQ
What is Give Kids a Smile Day?
February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. Give Kids a Smile Day is to celebrate just that.
This year, dozens of dental assistants, dental hygienists, and dentists are volunteering their time and skills to raise oral health awareness and provide free dental care.
Treatment will include an exam, xrays, a cleaning, and even fillings to children who are in need.
Who can come?
All kids are welcome to join in the fun and activities. There will be a couple of celebrities there - Wonder Woman & Batman! As well as, a live radio show with WQBE and the Rabbit.
There will be tons of giveaways and prizes, and of course as mentioned earlier our #1 priority is to raise oral health awareness. So along with all the fun, children will also be learning how to fight cavities, choose a well balanced diet, make their own brushing calendar and receive a dental health kit.
When is the event and Where is it located?
The event is this Friday, February 2nd.
It will be held at local dental office in Cross Lanes, WV.
How much does this cost?
This event is completely FREE! We are focused on underserved and uninsured children in WV, but all children are welcome to join the festivities.
This is meant to be a fun day at the dentist with plenty of FREE activities including not only an exam, cleaning, and limited restorative treatment needs but also face painting, sports and nutrition counseling, t-shirt coloring and more!
