Facing Hunger is a 501 (c)3 Non-Profit organization affiliated with Feeding America, the largest hunger relief agency in the United States. We distribute USDA commodities through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). TEFAP is designed to alleviate hunger amongst low-income individuals and to service areas damaged by natural disasters.
We have partnerships with retail grocers, restaurants, farmers, civic organizations, private donors, food manufacturers and processors. We serve a client base of 113,500 food insecure individuals through our 200 member agencies in 12 West Virginia counties, 4 counties of northeastern Kentucky and Lawrence County, Ohio. In 2013 Facing Hunger distributed 5.2 million pounds of food, water and fresh produce. Our goal is to work to alleviate hunger in our service area.

What kind of entertainment will be at the Italian Festival?
All authentic Italian acts will be there: Starting off will be Ronnie Fiorentino, then we will have The Cavaliers Italian Band and finally the San Giovanni Dancers. Each act will perform twice in rotation.
What restaurants will be there, and do you need tickets for the food?
The vendors will be selling food from their tent or their storefront, and they will have a "menu" of what they are offering and the prices. We will have The Bodega, Chateau D'Italia, Christopher Eats, Mancini's, Maylon House, Mulberry Street; Prime on Fourth, Roccos, Schlotzskys, Tropical Moon, and Village Roaster who are participting in some form for this event.
