Setzer's World of Camping FAQ

Q: What products does Setzer’s World of Camping carry?
A: Setzer’s carries Travel Trailers, 5th Wheels, Pop-ups, Pick-up Campers and Motorhomes, new and used. We have a fully stocked Parts Department, with repair parts and accessories to make your camping experience more enjoyable. Our parts manager, Herb Seay, has been with us for about 30 years and knows more about parts than anyone around. We provide Service before you pick up your camper, and maintenance and repairs after you buy. We also offer Financing and Storage.
Q: What do you mean by “First time buyer” pricing?
A: a. At Setzer’s World of Camping, we designate several models of Travel Trailers and Pop-ups as “First time buyer Specials.” We price those campers at an extremely low price for people who are getting started and don’t have a trade-in. That makes it affordable now, and easy to trade later.
Q: Are RV’s expensive?
A: The campers we sell range from Entry Level Pop-ups at around $6000, many Travel Trailers that sell for less than $15,000, and luxury 5th Wheels for up to $60,000, $70,000 and more. All are eligible for financing, with payments usually less than you car or truck payment.
Q: Is the interest on an RV really tax deductible?
A: Yes, it is. An RV is considered a second home if it has a kitchen, a place to sleep, and a bathroom. So, unless you already have a second home, the interest is tax deductible.
Q: Isn’t camping a lot of trouble? What if my idea of roughing it is the Holiday Inn with no Room service?
A: I like to answer that Holiday Inn question this way, “With a camper, you don’t have to carry your luggage.” The real answer is it all depends. It depends on what type of camper you have and where you go and what you want to do. A Pop-up does have to be put up and down, but many of them now have electric lifts. All you do is push the button, and no cranking. And with all types of campers, most people leave them loaded with everything except the perishable groceries, so they can take off at a moment’s notice. And, yes, you do end up doing a little cooking. But most people find that the view and atmosphere is much better when you fix your own breakfast and lunch. And you can go out for dinner if you want. But somehow, it seems more like “playing house” than work.
Q: Where can I go?
A: This is the best question of all! You could go to BeechFork, Foxfire, Carter Caves, Cave Run, Lake Vesuvius, or my childhood favorite, Kanawha State Forest, just to name a very few traditional campgrounds. You could go to Myrtle Beach, Nags Head, or Key West. We did all that when I was a kid, as well as Prince Edward Island, the Grand Canyon, and Disneyland, before there was a Disney World. And you can go to Disney World as well, in fact, I think the campground is the best place to stay. Maybe you want to go to a NASCAR race, or follow your favorite football team. Or, you could just park your camper on the river at one of the permanent site campgrounds in the area. At Setzer’s World of Camping, we really can promise you the world!
Q: Why should I buy from Setzer’s World of Camping?
A: a. Because we really are “The Best RV Dealership…period.” We have people in every department with more years of RV experience than anywhere around. We want you to be our customer for life. We have what you’re looking for, we’ll help you learn how to use it, and be here when you need us.
Q: Why buy now?
A: a. I’ve heard many people say, “When I retire, I going to buy an RV.” I say, “Why wait?” Buy something you can afford and start having fun now. Because…the price is gonna go up and the kids are definitely gonna grow up!
