How to Talk to Your Kids About Drugs

Presented By: Amanda Lanum

It can be hard to talk to your kids about drugs, but don’t think just because it’s not brought up that they’re not confronted with it and don’t have questions. Michelle Voth, Kansas Family Partnership Executive Director, discusses ways parents can talk to kids about drugs, and some of the most common questions kids have.

Michelle says parents should have five goals when it comes to their kids and drugs:
1. Show disapproval
2. Show you care
3. Become informed
4. Monitor kids
5. Help them say “no”
