As women and as parents, we are often stressed out. Jessica Kelner from Mother Earth Living offers some super easy, super quick and natural stress relief tips.

  • Aromatherapy. Look for any scent that you really enjoy in a pure essential oil. Naturally calming scents include lavender, citrus scents and peppermint. Add the scent of your choice to a carrier, such as olive oil, and use it as a massage oil or add it to your bath. Another way to enjoy the scent is to mix it with water and isopropyl alcohol or witch hazel in a spray bottle and then use it as a room spray.
  • Breathing. Another great idea is to concentrate on your breath, just for a minute. Count your breath as you breathe in, hold it for a second and then breathe out. This is scientifically proven to change our brain patterns and to even out our feelings.
  • Tea. Chamomile or any calming tea you can find at the natural food store can also help you relieve stress.
