My 6-year-old: What do you want for Mother’s Day?
Me: A nap.
My 6-year-old: That’s not a thing!!
If I had my way, I’d say “don’t spend a dime on me.” Give me the remote control, show me how to work the big TV and I’ll kick back and watch movies while my family spring cleans ONE room for me. Preferably the kids’ room.
It only takes four things: a “keep for later” box, a donate box, a trash can and a recycle bin.
You and the kids can go through the dresser, the closets and the toy box. Turn on some tunes and jam out while I relax. Take a break and make me lunch, then get back to work!
That last part might sound a little harsh, but isn’t that what I do on weekends?
Don’t spend a dime, just spend a day in my shoes (not literally and definitely not in my new strappy heels!). You have a distinct advantage. It’s just for one day and there are more of you than there are of me.
