Dinnertime can creep up on us and we're not always ready. But make-ahead freezer meals can save both time and money. Even better, take part in an exchange and share the workload.
Freezer meal exchanges work best between two and eight people. Each person in the exchange makes a dish, increasing the portion by the number of people in the group. Label and freeze the meal, then pass it out along with the instructions on reheating the meal when you meet.
Safety is especially important when dealing with food. Always make sure to cool the food completely before freezing it.
While the idea of a freezer meal exchange seems fairly easy, make sure to take into consideration foods that others may not like, allergies and cost.
