Tomato Basil Baguette Pizzas


Whole grain baguette
Basil pesto
Tomatos, thinly sliced
Provolone, Fontina or Mozzarella cheese, sliced or shredded


1. Preheat broiler in oven, place rack in upper third of oven

2. Slice baguette in half, lengthwise

3. Place sliced baguette on a prepared baking sheet that is covered with foil or parchment paper

4. Spread basil pesto onto baguette

5. Sprinkle with cheese of choice, or layer with slices

6. Layer tomato slices on top of cheese and season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

7. Place under preheated broiler until cheese is golden and bubbly

8. Remove from oven and serve immediately
