It’s dark at 7pm, there’s a nip in the air in the morning and we don’t use the A/C anymore. It’s a done deal; summer is over.
When I look back over the fun stuff we did this summer, my favorite times were camping with my family and friends. I’ve never been a big camper, but this summer I realized it was because we always had such crummy camping gear. What a difference a good sleeping pad makes!
I overhauled our camping equipment at the REI Garage Sale (awesome by the way). Now we are avid campers. We will be going on our last excursion before Halloween comes. Soon, out of nowhere, it’ll be Christmas.
I love to get my daughter outdoors, let her get dirty, explore new surroundings and then all snuggle up together in our cozy tent. We stare at the stars, roast marshmallows and build forts. Good wholesome fun that never costs too much and can accommodate all the people you love.
I look forward to a winter of fun with snow: sledding, skiing, and building snowmen. That being said, I can’t wait to be snuggled up in our sleeping bags, camping under the stars on a warm summer night with the ones I love.
