If avoiding the crowds and potentially dangerous drivers this New Year's Eve sounds good to you, chances are, you're a parent! Save yourself the cost of a babysitter and ring in the new year with the kiddos. Here are a few ideas for a fun, not-so-quiet night in:
- Make a Day of It
Who says you have to celebrate after dark? Take in a matinee and grab an early breakfast-for-dinner. Get home long before the crowds head out for the night.
- Make Family Resolutions
Sit around the table and talk about little things each person can do to make 2014 better. Let the kids come up with ideas for not only themselves, but for one another and the parents.
- Countdown to Bedtime
Midnight? Most parents miss sleeping and kids need their sleep. Set a bedtime for everyone and let the countdown begin! This way you'll really have a chance to start the new year off right.
