Pregnant women more prone to gingivitis

One of the most common things that pregnant women struggle with is gum disease. About 40 percent of pregnant women have some form of gum disease due to changing hormones.

The typical first signs are red or swollen gums that might bleed when brushing or flossing.

It is recommended that pregnant women visit their dentist regularly and sometimes may require more frequent cleanings to treat gingivitis.
