Megan is the MomsEveryday host in Northern California.
I grew up in San Diego and came to Chico State in the fall of 2001. I followed my sister up here who was finishing up when I started. I loved my time as a student, and quickly got involved in intramural sports and the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. I graduated in 2005 with a degree in Communication Studies. In my last semester of college, my broadcast career began when I began interning at KHSL/KNVN. I loved it so much here I accepted a position in production after graduating. I quickly "worked my way up," and began reporting a few months later. Shortly after that, I got my first shot at anchoring during the holidays (when everyone wanted time off!) and quickly learned that was my true passion. After being promoted to anchoring and producing the 10pm news on CW 10, I moved to the early morning hours and began anchoring Wake Up and I've been there ever since! Although waking up in the wee hours of the morning (3:30am!) can be tough, I really enjoy having the majority of the day to myself to be able to spend time at home.
I met my husband at the young age of 21! We were both going to school and working at a local restaurant. After working there for a short time, we realized we were both from San Diego and a connection was made! We dated for more for than five years before he popped the question at a San Diego Chargers game in November of 2009. We got married in Chico in October of 2010 and just a few months later found out we were expecting our first baby!
Colby was born in November, 2011. He was a very big boy, weighing 9lbs. 7ounces at birth, yikes! He is such a loving, rambunctious, caring little boy that certainly keeps us on our toes! He currently loves trucks; Thursdays are his favorite day of the week because that is trash day (referred to as "the man" by him!) and loves playing outside, shooting hoops, throwing the ball or riding his new truck from Santa, he is ALL boy!
In August, 2013 we found out we were expecting another baby and later found out it is ANOTHER BOY! We are so excited for Colby to have a brother and are anxiously awaiting his arrival in April. Although motherhood can be quite challenging, nothing beats coming home to a huge smile and hug from my little guy. I have suddenly found myself more excited about buying things for him than myself and have realized my happiness is largely based around his happiness. I am beyond excited to be a part of Moms Everyday and embrace being able to simplify other moms lives by helping guide them through this thing we call parenting! Welcome to Moms Everyday in the North State!
