First, dish rags and sponges – which are likely the filthiest things in your home. Frequently wash rags in hot water and replace sponges weekly.
Moving on to the kitchen sink: wipe it down with a disinfectant daily.
Another germ hot spot? Your toothbrush. They can become contaminated with bacteria released with every toilet flush. Dip them in antiseptic mouthwash frequently – and close the lid when you flush.
Next up, electronics. Remote controls, computer keyboards and smartphones are loaded with germs.
Finally, something you carry around every day… Your purse. One study found women’s handbags are contaminated with more bacteria than the average toilet.
