Super puttanesca spaghetti

  • 17.6 oz package Sam's Choice Italia spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes
  • 24 oz jar Sam's Choice Italia puttanesca pasta sauce
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2/3 cup pitted Kalamata olives, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1/4 cup capers
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves for garnish


In a large skillet or saucepan, heat olive oil. Add grape tomatoes to the skillet and cook until the skin starts to soften.

Once tomatoes have softened, add sliced Kalamata olives, capers and crushed red pepper flakes and stir until fragrant, about a minute.

Then empty jar of Sam’s Choice Italia Puttanesca into the skillet.

Cook until sauce is warm, about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 12 minutes.

Once pasta has cooked, add sauce to pasta and toss to coat.

Serve garnished with fresh basil leaves.
