Established in 1973, the non-profit agency provides congregate and home-delivered meals, nutrition
education and referrals for individuals 60 years of age and older, their spouses or their disabled dependent children in Harrison and Doddridge counties. More than 100 volunteers help prepare and distribute more than 2,500 meals five days a week, excluding holidays. Congregate meals are served at Bi-County centers in Bridgeport, Lost Creek, Nutter Fort, Salem, Shinnston and West Union. Recipients can donate all or part of the cost of their meals if they can, but there is no established price.
