About Us

The Toledo Lucas County Public Library is the area leader of information, education and inspiration. By providing an open and equitable access to our collection, all of Northwest Ohio can enjoy 'The People's University.' Home to the fifth largest collection in the state of Ohio, the Toledo Lucas County Public Library offers something for everyone, including:

  • Adult book discussion groups
  • Enrichment for adults on a variety of topics
  • Storytimes for children
  • Programs for elementary school aged children and teens
  • Computers for reference, database searching, word processing, and Internet access
  • Meeting rooms for community use
  • Teacher collections

Whether you are looking for help with your homework, getting your passport, seeking a second pair of eyes for your resume, understanding your budgeting and investments, creating music, movies, robotics or art, reserving meeting spaces, finding a loved ones obituary, or having the library come to you through outreach we are here to help connect you.

Two of the very large categories, Education and Workforce Development, contain a wide variety of information.

Education has information on homework helper, GED classes, proctoring, Ready to Read, teacher resources, and college.

Workforce Development contains information on how the library can help you with jobs and careers, nonprofit grants information, and small business information.
